Use local USB3.0 port of Rpi4 with USB3.0 hub

in case you still want your HAT mounted you might follow the approach
by using 2 short extentions on HAT connecting to U-Connector
and 2 other short extentions connecting U-Connector to hub

I made some measurements.
U connector is made like extension cable, connections are straight.
Connection cable have switched high speed data cables and standard (usb2) are straight. This is reason why is working with usb3 connection cable + usb2 extension which I mentioned above.

USB-2 speed was not sufficient for my purposes
therefore I headed for an USB-3 solution

understand so I need to make my own usb3 cable and switch data lines.
I want to have hat on top my rpi

you don’t need to DIY for USB-3

Yeah you mean 4x extension cable am I right?
But in this cas I need to buy 4x new extension cable :smiley:
or 2x DIY cable made from 2x connection cable which I allready have :smiley:
