Zero 3W: Defective DRAM?

Hello,
I recently bought a 1Gb, no eMMC Zero 3W, but am disappointed to find that it seems to be defective.
It gets stuck at the Rockchip TPL(DRAM init) on every boot UNLESS I press down on the RAM chip. Seems like Radxa did a really horrible job with their soldering and X-Ray inspection for the BGA Packages.

The chip and PMIC also gets uncomfortably hot in this state.
I’ve tried multiple PSUs, multiple SD cards and multiple OSes, including custom U-Boot builds. Only thing that helps is pressure on the ram chip.

I have requested their authorized vendor, who I bought the device from, to offer me a replacement but even after sending them a detailed video they just told me to contact Radxa.

Has anyone faced such an issue?

Hi @mailtesterhog

I apologize for this
If possible could you provide a picture of the DRAM used on the board?

Sure, Its a NANYA Chip.

@Mitchell I have gotten my warranty claim processed thanks to radxa and my vendor.
It most probably is a one-off issue.
