I received my A8 module, but after my short look at it, I suspect the antenna is soldered on. I don’t have a soldering iron. What should I do?
Wifi Module A8 from Allnet is Available now!
Module + Antennas
2 holes 1 for wifi other for bt… no soldering just place the antennas into the module et voilá.
Left is WiFi and right is bluetooth? Or inverse?
Where can I find on aliexpress such antenas? What connector? mini, micro?
Bought mine on Allnet.china, came with antennas. As they form an “integrate part” I would expect they should be sold everywhere together with the module.
Hello everyone,
-
what is the exact name of the antenna socket on the A8 module?
-
Is that “uFL” (if so, what size is that?) or some other name?
IPEX4 is another name.
Hello incognito,
Thanks for the info - but unfortunately I’m wrong!
I was then able to find the information via Google:
IPX4 and uFL are not the same. IPX4 is a protocol for transmitting data packets, while uFL is a connector type for RF communication. IPX4 has nothing to do with plugs…
For everyone who is faced with the same question about the WLan / BT module A8:
The connection on the WiFi card is of type uFL!
Here is a LINK:
Please read all the letters. IPEX4, not IPX4.
Formally it seems to be called MHF4 I-PEX.
