Hi there,
Finally got the time to try setting up my Pi4 with the SATA Hat and it seems the Installation went fine, at least the controller is shown with cmd lssub.
But it doesn’t detect my 12TB HDD, i was wondering if there might me any restrictions with the maximum size of a HDD?
Will try a 4TB HDD after work this afternoon to check if the board is ok, but perhaps someone has an idea.

Does the controller doesn’t support more or would it possibly support larger drives with a firmware update?.
Guess i have to return my 12tb hdd then and have to check for 2x 6tb instead

as mentioned this morning i have now connected a 4TB HDD (which works absolutely fine as i have just removed it from my PC) and disconnected the 12TB HDD. But i get the same error: No drive detected.
Just for a test i have connected the Top board to check if it works and that is OK.
But I have recognized that both the HDDs are very quiet and it seems they do not get any power through the SATA Hat at all.

I am using the recommended 12V 5A 60W PSU which seems to work fine when i am reading through other threads so i am wondering if it is possible the SATA Hat is broken? Also using the Cables which were sold by AllNet.

It is possible that the USB bridge is loose, try plugging it in again.
It fits very tight, but i can re-check, after work today this afternoon.

Sorry for the delayed reply.
Have now done a clean re-install of the OS and re.connected the USB Bridge, but still no HDD is detected:

The connected HDD still seems not to get any power.
There is also no sign on the Activity / Error LEDs.
I might get a pair of USB3.0 Type-A to Type-A cables later this day and will re-try (just need to check if a friend got them and if i can collect them later).
Will keep you ´posted on the further progress.

update: Got 2 USB3.0 cables now and replaced the USB bridge with them.
The error still exists: The HDD is not detected and it seems the HDD doesnt get any power.
Also tried the tutorial to update the firmware of the SATA Hat:
But Windows doesnt recognize the “USB device” nor does the tool detect the hat (both ports tested).
If it would have worked with the 2 USB cables we would know the USB Bridge is broken, but as it doesnt work out too it seems to me the SATA Hat board is broken.
