Lower temps Pi in Quad SATA Hat

For lower temps for the raspberry PI 4 in the Quad SATA Hat case I removed the tape from the little heatsink with fan and put some kryonaut on top of the CPU. I’ve put some superglue on the wireless/bluetooth module and the little piece of black tape on the heatsink and placed the heatsink on the CPU.

I overclocked the CPU to 1900 with over_voltage=4 and the temperature dropped, while running a stresstest, from 76 C to little over 60 C.

Temps drop very fast after stopping stresstest, a bonus too.

temp monitoring:
$ watch -n 1 sudo vcgencmd measure_temp
stresstest:
$ sudo apt install stress-ng mesa-utils
$ stress-ng --cpu 0 --cpu-method fft

Yup, adding GD900 thermal paste to the chip helps to bring down temps by 3-5 deg on normal workloads.. its especially more important for me because i live in the tropical belt and the ambient temps here are like 35 degC..

may be too many thermal paste, try reduce little to have better efficience. I’ve changed my HAT fan for Noctua.
