Same here. And still trying to get the display working with a Rock Pi 4 Plus (v1.73). Further explanation below.
I found something helpful here Official Rapsberry Pi Display. In that quite old case it was a problem with the kernel. Since debian buster is now the current release, for that dist the fix does not work. Does someone has a fix for that problem?
What I tried:
- Flashed debian buster from radxa download section an microSD card.
- Created the following file since it doesn’t existed: /boot/hw_intfc.conf
- Added the following line: intfc:dtoverlay=raspberrypi-7-inch-lcd
- Inserted microSD card to rock pi
- connected 15pin flex to rock pi and official raspberry pi display
- connected power and ground cable to rock pi and official raspberry pi display
- powered the rock pi with 12V power supply via usb c
What happened:
- It seems that the rock pi is booting. Green led is on. Blue led blinks twice every second or so.
What doesn’t work:
- Raspberry Pi Display stays black.
Could it be, that there is still a problem with the kernel in the debian release provided by radxa?
Best regards
