What's the future of the NIO lineup?

Hi. I’ve been thinking - the NIO lineup seems extremely promising.
And, just out of pure curiosity, I’ve been wondering about two things.

– How’s the work on the official Ubuntu progressing?
– Is expanding the lineup someday in the future - when it comes to available SoCs and form factors - being considered, or could ever be considered?

Personally I would absolutely welcome a NIO board in RPi form factor if it’s possible. I know that the 12L is physically so big because of that huge WiFi chip, but maybe it could be turned into a HAT for smaller form factors if necessary?

Currently MTK is investing a lot in the AIoT, including work with Baylibre and Collabora. We are seeing a lot of new software features are adding up including SPI nor booting and booting from SD card.

NIO board in RPi form factor is also in consideration, it maybe based on the G700 or G720 SoC.

My hope is that a future Nio has some form of a M.2 slot and that UFS support becomes available in mainline as well as sd card support as boot in u-boot
