What am I doing wrong? First install

I have just received two radxa zero sbc’s. They both boot into Android 9 no problem.
My issue comes form the first step in trying to boot into maskrom and identify the Zero in Device Manager in windows. It never shows up. Using RZ usb boot helper 1.0.0 does not identify the zero either. i have tryed so many variations on how long I hold the usb boot button after power up to no improvement.
Can some one tell me how to fix?

also using linux machine using lsusb command still returns nothing

Hold and press the maskrom button, then plug the USB OTG to PC, any thing in Device Manager?

Hi @NEEDHELP, my fingers are too big to depress the usb boot button, so I ended up using the edge of a spudger to hold it down. It took me a couple tries to both hold the button down and plug the usb in. It’s nearly a three handed job. Once you see it in device manager or via lsusb, you’ll be ready to proceed!
