Warning to Those Using Current Armbian with NVMe

My ROCK Pi 4A no longer boots to completion after I upgraded to the latest version of Armbian. This appears to be because the change of kernel from 6.6.63 to 6.12.9 has resulted in anything connected to the NVMe interface to longer be recognized.

I found a post on the Armbian forums from someone with a 3C who was having the same issue, so it appears to be fairly widespread across models.

The good news is that it seems not to be an issue anymore with the 6.13 series of kernels.

The cause is absolutely the change in kernel. I booted off an SD, copied the relevant files to my eMMC, and now I’m back in business (after two days of fiddling).

I’ve pinned the current Armbian version with armbian-config so that I won’t be right back in this predicament again.
