Use hotspot (AP Mode) on CM3

May i know if currently CM3 OS supports hotspot mode? Is there an instruction on bringing it up?

I tried to follow some online tutorials here, but run into various technical issues.

I could sometimes see the hotspot showing up, but cannot connect. Sometime I manage to connect and authenticate, but drops immediately.

My CM3 is having the AzureWave AW-CM256SM chip. Thanks!

Interestingly, I have a better luck with nmcli command

I kind of combine the solution in the following two links, for both brining up of the Hotspot, and change the default 10.42.0.x IP assignment

This puzzles me. Seems the OS / driver seems all working. Just the software having some quirks? Whats the best practice here for CM3?
