USB not functional on o6 after installing 7.0.0-generic kernel

See here for the full details. After changing to the Cix trixie repo and upgrading to their 7.0 kernel, USB no longer works on my 64GB O6 system. I can revert to the Debian 6.12.x kernel and things work again.

The keyboard works in the BIOS and GRUB but then no more after the Cix 7.0 kernel loads.

Any ideas? Lots of changes to the kernel between 6.12.x and 7.0.0 to look at…

Can anyone with an O6 (and not an O6N) vouch for whether USB works for them after moving to the Cix 7.0.x kernel? I went ahead and installed 7.0.9 from stable-backports and USB works fine there (and continues to not work with the cix kernel), so this really seems like something broken with these builds. I don’t see how it would matter but I’m on a 64GB board and aside from an NVMe drive don’t have anything extra in the box.

Short of suggestions of a better path to go down I’m going to take a look at the diffs between 7.0.9 from Debian and 7.0.0 from Cix and see if anything stands out related to this.

Huh, that’s odd. I don’t have any USB issues on my O6 with the 7.x Cix kernel

User error: I needed to enable ACPI SCMI in the BIOS which resolved the problem.

Ah, happens to the best of us! Especially when things aren’t documented super well
