Unable to power zero 3e using POE

Hi all
just got a zero 3W and Zero 3E with the Zero3e POE hat too for some of my projects as i wanted the sbcs to be small and be powered by POE
i got the zero 3W to work with the power and working fine
now the problem is that when i try to power the Zero3E via the POE Hat
the SBC is not getting powered on
fact I have 2 zero 3e and 2 POE hats but the SBCs are not getting powered via the POE but only on the type-c PD

Same issue here, any more info on this?

@ardivee
I tried to work with different POE switchs and mounted the 3E POE hat directly to the 3E SBC using the mounting screws in the POE hat , I mean fully fixed mounting both the SBC together and used a 65w POE switch to power the SBC.
Now the #rock3:zero3 is working fine with this above method.

Ill try to use a different POE adapter, i have mounted the POE hat with all the screws in place as well.

@ardivee
try using a direct POE switch rather than using a POE splitter/injector

Ill have to order one then, what POE switch are you using? I have tried a few POE adapters now and none of them work on this.

@ardivee
I have used a 65w output per port and have a 8 port POE switch, you can find them online easily,
If you dont want to use this way then try using POE injector from any known brands both of them are available online.

keep in mind the POE Switch and POE Injectors are completely 2 different types of POE
in brief :
POE Switch : Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology that allows network switches to transmit both power and data through an Ethernet cable simultaneously .

PoE injector : Using a normal switch to power the POE Enabled devices with introducing the power through the POE injector

Maybe i need more power then, as i have Ubiquiti POE Adapter of only 15W. The other one i tried was around 30w.

According to me 30w should work for the #rock3:zero3 do check you are using the cat5 or cat6 cables Check the Specs of the Switch and its is the same or upgrade to the version like 802af/at version that is required for the zero3e to work
since this is specified in the tech specs of the #rock3:zero3 then you would have to find a relevant POE network switch or that can work in the both ways that works for your application

Hi @ardivee
Is the zero3E working with the new switch or is there any changes u made to make it work
