Switching off USB ports at runtime (via sysfs)?

Is it possible to switch off (and on again) the two USB ports, say via sysfs?
It would come very handy for a project of mine.

I don’t really think that if will work with RockPi since it requires or hardware support from sbc or software support from usb firmware
