SPI Firmware Flash bricked my Q6A

It is now completely unresponsive…no combination of Power-on/Button presses seem to get me any reaction.

Bit more precision on “unresponsive”: normal power-on gives solid green LED + ~5 sec blip, zero HDMI, no reaction to any buttons. But EDL mode works fine — holding the EDL button, it enumerates over USB and takes firehose commands normally (DDR/USB/SPI all fine). So it’s not dead hardware, it’s specifically the cold-boot path that never completes.

Ruled out so far, same symptom every time:

  • SPI firmware reflashed fresh via EDL — no change

  • NVMe removed entirely — no change

  • Swapped in an SD card known-good on another Q6A — no change

  • IPA-cleaned and reseated — no change

Since firehose mode works but cold boot won’t reach HDMI init even with zero storage attached, looks like it’s in the XBL/early UEFI handoff, not firmware content or storage.

Anyone seen this failure mode, or know an RMA path for AE3FFBB2?
