Several simple questions for a new Radxa Rock Pi 4B:
I’ll try to install an SSD; I have found a page on installing the extension board; if I cannot work out how to connect up the SSD, I will ask about that too. edit: I am raising a separate thread about my assembly experience.
According to here you should only connect the RTC battery and it will work normally.

Sorry, I am a bit challenged when I come to hardware.
I do not want to do any soldering… I know my limitations.

This is the place where you have to connect the RTC battery.
where is the on board antenna and how do I connect the external antenna to it?
To see the on-board antenna you will have to check the documentation. To connect the antenna you will have to solder really small components, like the U.FL connector and the little capacitor.
FYI reference back to this forum which calculates the battery is good for 5 + years
