I tried 2 different displays and a sensor on the I2C pins of 3 different Zero 3E and never saw any device when calling i2cdetect on the console.
Did anyone have success with I2C on a Zero 3E?
Do I have to activate it somehow?
Also I tried to connect a SPI display, but there is now /dev/spi* device in my system, so I can’t use SPI at all.
I would be happy for any help!
I got it working, finally.
Short version:
I installed the Raxda Debian Xfce image, started rsetup, went to the overlay menu and activated the ones I wanted, then did an apt update + upgrade, reboot and it worked

Hey @Burberius , would it be possible to ask you to describe steps you did to setup i2c ?
I changed to the Armbian Image a while a go.
There the way is different.
Sorry
