i have problems starting my rock 5a.
after plugging in the emmc (with ubuntu), µHDMI and power nothing happens.
the green led lights up but there is no output on hdmi.
ive tried 3 hdmi displays, 2 second new rock 5a and various power sources as listed in quickstart guide.
help. whats wrong???
The emmc that came with your rock 5a isnt an emmc but an spi module.
So if you want to boot it use ur own microSD or your own emmc module.

Have you been able to solve the issue? I have the same problem. I turn on the board and only get a green led. I’m beginning to think the board is faulty.
I think yous can… flash the spi using rkdevtools with the provided files on docs and then flash a radxa image to the emmc via rkdevtools. See if that works. The spi usually clears those shits… at least it was my experience with the rock 5b It was giving me some issues.
if it is the pink version of the 5a then try different sd cards - i think it is a known problem that it does not work well with all types of sd cards

@darkevilpt Rock 5a can’t have eMMC and SPI at the same time. No need to clear it, you can just remove the chip.
