Sd card for android

Hi there,

Just noticed that i had trouble to boot android with my 64gb sandisk extreme card(uhs-i/v30), but didnt have such issue with old 8gb class 4 card. If the card size are the main cause of the boot issue, will 32GB card will do just fine? Is there anyone that could boot android just fine with 64gb or larger card? if yes, what was the card model and its rated speed being used?
