Does it matter if the batter is rechargeable? Will it auto recharge? Also what is the polarity? And anyone have a good source for buying these things.

I bought this one from Amazon - which I use on the ROCK 4SE which has the same connector and spec:
Test the polarity of the battery connector with a voltmeter to make sure that the red lead is actually positive.
Also carefully test the board connector between the Ethernet Jack shell (GND) and each pin on the connector. The positive pin should be about 3.0V.
