Ajy Chance / workaround to get Amazon Prime Video working? As soon as i start a movie i get âSomething went wrong, please try again laterâ
Cheers and thank you for your Work!
@localhost
Hi, you can use the phone app.
But I would recommend to play through Chrome browser then you will get HD resolution too.
Rockchip has Playready DRM support for Chrome browser.
Other browsers are limited to 480p.
There are some apps to save shortcuts then you open the app, select the link and it automatically opens through Chrome browser like âsave urlâ
You can then add a link to primevideo.com and donât have to save bookmarks in Chrome and do additional mouse clicks.

I will just check later if there is a problem since I donât have Prime Video at the moment.
DonwloadedâŚPassword please
I want too compare with a FreePlayer POP
Thanks a lot!
I would like to do Game streaming with Moonlight and Sunshine. At the moment I use a Nvidia Shield Pro for that, but the Nvidia canât do 4K 120Hz, so I though about trying it with the Rock 5. But in case 4K 120Hz is not working currently 1080p 120Hz is good enough.
With the new firmware it reboots after some seconds of showing the radxa Logo. The green LED turns off for a short moment starts again. Could be my sd card or power supply but I highly suspect it, tried 2 different sd cards and 3 different power supplys. I got it to boot with the previous image using the same power supply and sd card.
Edit: It bootet now, itâs something about Power supply or SD-Card, not 100% sure what it is. Never hard a device so picky about those.
Edit2: Setting the screen to 1080p 120 Hz works fine. Setting it to 3840x2160 > 60 gives me a blank screen (tried 100Hz and 120Hz so far).
Edit3: 2560x1440@120 would also work. Whenever I go 3840x2160@100 or @120 I cannot go back I have to reset the device to get an output again.
Hi everyone! I am facing many power issues (reboots ) with the rock 5 and power supply.
Using it whit WiFi/Bluetooth module if RADXA and an NVNE SSD.
I am wondering; What POWER SUPPLY/ solution are you using? Any input, links or something like that?
Thanks in advance and have a nice day!
Are usb headphones supported in the 1.4 image. I see my headphones with lsusb but will not output any movie or music sound. I tried the developer option under usb but cannot select usb sound always stays at charging
@Greenbeans
You can check the Developer setting âDisable USB Audio routingâ disable it since it might be enabled.
Lots of users use USB airmouses with microphones then Android will mistake it for a speaker output and try to route the sound through the remote so that setting helps to disable it.
@cuudiiwkdm Thanks, Iâll try to report the problem.
It might be complicated to fix it.
There are 2 HDMI ports, one only supports 4K@60hz while the other one supports 4K@120hz & 8K@30hz.
For the power supply, I added some changes to the new firmware that might help a little but with a nvme attached a 36W or higher PSU should work well for stability. Without a nvme a 12V/2A(24W) PSU should work fine.
@mo123 may I ask what power supply you are using for the Rock 5? And youâre running Android TV from a SSD NVME?
I am asking because I am running against reboots and I tried a 45W PD Charger from AnkerâŚ
The âDisable USB Audio routingâ is not enabled. When I use the volume control on the headset the volume slider goes up and down but no audio
Edit: I enabled the disable usb audio routing then disabled it. Re booted the 5b and the audio started working
@cuudiiwkdm Check if the new v1.5 firmware has better booting for you.

@Greenbeans Check if the new firmware works better with USB audio

@Jeroen150586 Iâm not using an nvme.
I use a PD PSU with 5V@3A, 12V@2A(24W).
For an NVME you need an additional 10W.
Iâll post the new nvme firmware soon then you can test booting.
Tried the 1.5 image and the audio works great on my usb headphones.
There is one problem with the 1.5. The display settings is missing the 2k settings which the 1.4 image had.
The other minor problem is wifi. Does your image support the rtl8852be adapter?
The list of available SSIDâs are all displayed but when I try to connect to one the message is always couldnât find ssid
One last question. Is the ax210 supported?
shouldnât support ax210, should support rtl8852be (radxa a8 module). hows the signal strength on the ssids? I would check your antenna connections
Also, how about the Bluetooth on the rtl8852be? It does not seem to be working on the NVME image.
bluetooth worked for me with a gamepad. when yall r saying rtl8852be r u referring to the radxa a8 or a different m.2 rtl8852be? i have some lenovo rtl8852be that needed diff drivers on windows than the standard rtl8852be, so that may matter. the radxa a8 does work, bluetooth and wifi.
Mine has an HP model number, so not the A8 module.
@wealas
I added the hp, lenova rtl8852be changes but it seems there are more changes needed. Perhaps the non A8 devices are not compatible with Android or can only work on Windows or Linux with a different mainline Linux kernel driver.
