I tried the latest version (1.8, SD card) and have some issues:
YouTube playback. I’m using the latest Smart TubeNext. Frame drops at 4k@60 with both AV1 and VP9. See the image below. Am I doing something wrong or it’s common issue?
Can you check your wifi card’s vid, pid values?
lsusb in Linux or Device Manager in Windows
Perhaps you have a non standard AX210 card.
What wifi module are you currently using and did you attach antennae or are you using ethernet?
Also try changing the Android Display resolution to 3840x2160x60hz and see if it doesn’t make a difference with the dropped frames.
I’m using SanDisk Extreme PRO. I believe this should be high speed.
AX210 works fine under Ubuntu. Here is lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 8087:0032 Intel Corp. AX210 Bluetooth
I’m using ethernet so far, don’t have any other WiFi cards.
As for 4k@60p resolution - I didn’t notice any difference. What I see so far is that AV1 HDR videos do not trigger the scree to HDR, while VP9 does. And the biggest rate of frame drops is exactly with these AV1 HDR videos.
Also it seems that I cannot change colors to 444 unless it’s 1080p. With the other devices (e.g., Ugoos AM8 @ Amlogic S928X-J) 4k & 444 color works.
OK I am typing this because I can’t copy from Termux.

Unfortunately the Linux blacklist commands can’t work on Android as the systems work very differently.
I found out the Intel hal frameworks are completely missing for Android and Intel has no plans to develop it. Rockchip/Radxa also get no feedback from Intel. So I think we can forget about AX210 bluetooth on Android.
The best is to use the A8 RTL8852BE wifi/bt module or if you only need wifi, the AX210 module and then use a USB Wifi airmouse remote.
Is it possible to incorporate it in Opi5 roms? My opi board is on the way, and I have exactly this RC.
Also pls dont forget about Opi forum, many people are asking for password there, actually last 6 pages or so, hope you’re not abandoned them
Thank you for your great work!
I tested bluetooth headphones and speakers and it worked normally on the A8 RTL8852be module.
The images with Intel wifi might cause problems with the A8 bluetooth, so I just have to check if Intel bluetooth was disabled and if not reupload images.
All the bluetooth issues like standby could have been avoided if Radxa used a built-in AP6275P chip instead. Also enabling USB bluetooth dongles cause problems with the A8 bluetooth.
Perhaps this will be fixed by a driver update in future.
I prefer to boot Debian or Ubuntu from mSD Card and flash preferred firmware to EMMC or NVME using balenaetcher for arm. You can also flash all idbloader, firmware etc files under any LinuxOS with dd command.
