Dear @mo123,
Did you find a solution for AX210 to work on android?
If your answer is yes could you please apply this solution to Rock 5b firmware too?
Regards
@darkstar Yes, I’m just testing some new improvements then will make Rock5B with Intel wifi too.
That is really a good news thank you very much, nowadays I’m very busy so I don’t have time to play with android. You are the man, congratulations.

Updated Rock5B firmwares in the OP

Single firmware for AX210 & other wifi.
Fix G7BTS remote control
Fix System boot fail when use static IP
0x3570 rtl8852be bluetooth support
Rock5B Add 4K video camera support
To replace the bootanimation, copy your bootanimation.zip to /data/local/, need root access.
Here is the stock bootanimation,
Will upload Rock5A firmware later.
I tried the latest version (1.8, SD card) and have some issues:
- YouTube playback. I’m using the latest Smart TubeNext. Frame drops at 4k@60 with both AV1 and VP9. See the image below. Am I doing something wrong or it’s common issue?
- WiFi/BT is not working (AX210).
Dear @mo123,
Thank you very much, my AX210 Wifi card works very stable on wifi 6 without any issue.
Even without antennas.
@dxg
Are you using a high speed micro-SDCard?
Can you check your wifi card’s vid, pid values?
lsusb in Linux or Device Manager in Windows
Perhaps you have a non standard AX210 card.
What wifi module are you currently using and did you attach antennae or are you using ethernet?
Also try changing the Android Display resolution to 3840x2160x60hz and see if it doesn’t make a difference with the dropped frames.
I’m using SanDisk Extreme PRO. I believe this should be high speed.
AX210 works fine under Ubuntu. Here is lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 8087:0032 Intel Corp. AX210 Bluetooth
I’m using ethernet so far, don’t have any other WiFi cards.
As for 4k@60p resolution - I didn’t notice any difference. What I see so far is that AV1 HDR videos do not trigger the scree to HDR, while VP9 does. And the biggest rate of frame drops is exactly with these AV1 HDR videos.
Also it seems that I cannot change colors to 444 unless it’s 1080p. With the other devices (e.g., Ugoos AM8 @ Amlogic S928X-J) 4k & 444 color works.
