Rock Pi E - Add additional WIFI module

Cannot seem to get another WIFI module connected to this board. Would have expected success via UART … nada ) Specifically, I have dev board with the RTL8720DN. Welcome any suggestions.

Currently ROCK Pi E doesn’t support RTL8720DN. And there is no RTL8720DN driver in kernel tree.

Stephen, Thank you kindly for prompt detailed response. Much appreciated ). So is there any way that I could have easily determined that on my own? Where is such information found? Are any of the Realtek chip sets supported?
