Rock PI 4A v1.4 new borads not working

Hi,
Today we got 4 rock pi boards.
- Two Rock pi 4B v1.3
- Two Rock pi 4A v.1.4
- Four 16GB emmc.
Four emmc flashed with ubuntu 18.04 server os two Rock pi 4B v1.3 working fine but Two Rock pi 4A v.1.4 not working(checked with hdmi port to moinitor and serial console).
Why Rock pi 4A v.1.4 is not working ?

Try copying a system image to an SD card and seeing if it boots.

The instructions are on the website.

This is strange, as Martin mentioned, you can try uSD card booting to check if it’s hardware issue.

Same nothing is coming form hdmi and serial console.
Same emmc and sd card checked with rock pi 4B working fine.
This is issue with hardware ?

Can we return the boards ?

I faced the same issues with HDMI for 4a’s no screen when booting ,
My solution was not to connect HDMI until the heartbeat led starts blinking , after connecting hdmi i get display.
i tried with multiple Displays (HDMI ) on certain i was getting no display on certain i got invalid signal

im not sure about the kernel error but you can try:

  1. Try different images , maybe armbian ones (https://dl.armbian.com/rockpi-4b/Ubuntu_bionic_default.7z)
  2. Use Etcher to write these images (on windows).
  3. Check and make sure the checksum is valid for the downloaded images.
  4. Try a different machine to write the images to mmc maybe some software is causing issues.
