Rock Pi 4 Plus V1.73 : Blue and Green LED always on, not booting

Hi guys,
I have tried almost everything I could think of with my Rock Pi 4 Plus V1.73. The device does not boot at all. It also cannot be flashed using SD card. I am out of ideas, the device was working just fine, when this suddenly happened.

I have tried :

  • reflashing the device multiple times
  • connecting to the device using UART to USB, no response

What I think it could be :
Corrupted kernel ? The blue led is supposed to indicate kernel heartbeat, however my blue led is just always on, it never blinks. I plug the device in and both blue and green leds are constantly on.

Hello,

Were you able to find a solution for this issue? I’m having the same problem…

Have You also tried it with UART output?

I’ve seen something like this with incompatible UART adapter, board could not boot and output anything on console, but that one worked perfectly without console connected.

Thanks for the quick response. No I haven’t, all this is new to me. I did look up what that is (UART) and it seemed a bit technical to me…

UART is just simple usb adapter that You connect to Your pc and two other lines into Your SBC. Then You should be able to read boot logs and see if there is something wrong about system, bootloader or anything. This makes few things more clear.

Of course You don’t need it at all if You have right accessories and image. You should be able to run everything and connect to Your board.

Ok, thank you for taking the time to help. I’ll keep working at it. Have a good one!
