I recently successfully installed the u-boot image to SPI flash for my ROCK PI 4 Model A+. Next, I plugged in the NVMe SSD with Ubuntu, update/install packages, and then installed rockchip-fstab. I installed the package because /etc/fstab didn’t match the one in the instructions. I then rebooted and it no longer boots into Ubuntu. There’s a green LED and the blue LED flashes for a few seconds and stops. I’ve tried a couple times and I’m quite certain that rockpi4-dtbo is preventing Ubuntu from booting.
Stuff used:
ROCK PI 4 Model A+
ROCK PI 802.3at PoE HAT
SK Hynix Gold P31 NVMe SSD
Ubuntu Server 20.04 (Linux 5.10)
EDIT: I’ll try this and report back. Hopefully it works because reimaging is a pain. https://wiki.radxa.com/Rockpi4/dev/common-interface-with-kernel-5.10
