Rock Pi 4 freezing after 5-6 minutes: spin lock

Hi there,

I just set up a Rock PI 4B, and have installed Debian Stretch on a NVME drive.

After starting the OS, it works fine for about 5-6 minutes, but then I receive the following errors in the syslog:

And then the system becomes unresponsive and I need to do a hard reboot. Does this indicate an issue with my NVME drive?

Thanks for any suggestions on how to resolve this.

Well, it would be easy to indicate what exactly go wrong, do you have microsd card?

Yes, I do. I can try booting up from that and see if the same problem occurs to confirm if it is the NVME.

So in the process of switching back over to the SD card, I’ve found that the problem only occurs with the case on. I think it may be heat-related, or it’s slightly pinching the ribbon cable connecting the nvme?

Check that there is no shortcuts between case and sbc
