How to use Uart2 or Uart4 on Android?

I have the same interest.
I found this demo; https://github.com/radxa/Android-MraaDemo
But I can’t compile it on the latest Android Studio.
It complains about gradle sync and I can’t get it to sync.
Could radxa team give us some step by step guide to try this Android Mraa demo please?
