Rock 5T Availability and POE Question

Hello, I was wondering when we could expect greater availability of the Rock 5T?

I was also wondering what the POE versions cost relative to non-POE, I see no info about that on Arace or Aliexpress. If I bought the Rock 5T available now, could I buy and add the POE module later, even if it requires soldering?

I realized that the Radxa 25W PoE+ Module 5514 matches the POE through holes on the 5t, and the 16GB 5T that was in stock was otherwise what I wanted, so I made my order and grabbed the PoE modules. I was initially unsure because their product pages to point to each other.

I assume this is because in the “P2” skus that have the module are just coming soldered instead of using a socket like the ITX boards that also use the 5514.

So I’m set!

I’m planning to do the same — add the Radxa 25W PoE+ Module 5514 to the Rock 5T. Just wondering if it worked as expected once installed? Would love to hear how it went for you

Yup! So long as you’re comfortable soldering, it’s a perfect solution to get PoE when the SKUs in stock aren’t the ones that come with it already.

Thanks for confirming — I really appreciate it!

I’ll give this a try. I much prefer this PoE 5514 module over the bulky one that mounts on the GPIO pins like on the ROCK 5B/5B+, as it keeps the GPIO accessible and allows for a better CPU cooler on the RK3588 chip. This setup is perfect my PoE powered Ubuntu server build.

Cheers!
