Rock 5B+ Camera IMX214 13MP

Hi folks,
I’ve successfully got working the Radxa Camera 13MP based on IMX214 using the RadxaOS image, applying the overlay and using the instructions provided in the wiki page. I cannot see the correct colors on either live stream or on still captures (and images are very dark).

Commands used:

# gst-launch-1.0 v4l2src device=/dev/video11 io-mode=4 ! video/x-raw,format=NV12,width=4208,height=3120 ! xvimagesink;

# gst-launch-1.0 v4l2src device=/dev/video11 io-mode=4 ! videoconvert ! video/x-raw,format=NV12,width=1920,height=1080 ! jpegenc ! multifilesink location=file.name.jpg

The following image shows a white case for another device with three wires comming out of it, they are orange, green and yellow(the one the right) and the image had to be iluminated with a camera flashlight to see anything (the auto-focus topic is probably a different topic).

This is on the debian rock-5b-plus_bookworm_kde_r7.
Has anyone been able to get this camera module working well?

Cheers

Try these commands:

sudo wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/radxa-pkg/rockchip-iqfiles/refs/heads/main/rockchip-iqfiles-rk3588/imx214_RADXA-CAMERA-13M_DEFAULT.json -P /etc/iqfiles
sudo reboot

And try again.

Great this was clearly the problem, thanks!
So I suppose this package needs updating upstream so the debian bookworm will pick it up? I see that camera-engine-rkaiq in that debian when up-to-date is version 6.8.0-rk3588 (or v30 rkisp).
I will now proceed to test the rest of the camera (HDR, autofocus, sharpness).
