We experience periodically disconnects from our WLANs with Rock 5a and Wireless Module A8.
We use a Rock 5a with the latest official ubuntu cli build (Release b18 · radxa-build/rock-5a · GitHub), due to compatibility issues with our software, so currently there’s no plan to switch to debian.
the current wpa_supplicant config looks like:
country=DE
ctrl_interface=DIR=/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1
p2p_disabled=1
network={
ssid="*internal_ssid*"
psk=*passphrase*
priority=1
}
network={
ssid="*customer_ssid*"
psk=*passphrase*
}
journalctl log example looks like:

multiple issues are bothering me in this log:
- multiple CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-FAILED ret=-16 retry=1 after reboot
- dozens of nl80211: kernel reports: Match already configured
- authentication failures with WRONG_KEY, while the psk is definitely correct, since the device can connect otherwise.
Is there anything I can add or change in my wpa_supplicant config to get rid of the errors and reduce the disconnects? Or at least get the device to reconnect after the errors.
