Hi, I am trying to set up a microphone for real-time audio to text transcription on a rock 4c+ using debian, using a headset plugged into the 3.5mm jack. The issue I’m having is the headset is being detected and is able to play audio to its speakers, but the mic refuses to be recognised as an audio input. Some lines from the output from typing sudo pulseaudio -vvv into the konsole:
UCM file does not specify ‘CaptureChannels’ for device Headset, assuming stereo.
No _supporteddevs for device Headset
UCM file does not specify ‘CaptureChannels’ for device Headphones, assuming stereo.
No _supporteddevs for device Headphones
UCM file does not specify ‘CaptureChannels’ for device Mic, assuming stereo.
No _supporteddevs for device Mic
UCM jack has control=0
Database contains no data for key: also_card.platform-rk809-sound
I have tried many things: reinstalling ALSA, verifying pulseaudio, installed pavucontrol to see if that would work, looked through pulseaudio logs, manually changed the default device in the asound.conf file, looked through the rockchip809 codec.
I am quite new to all this and nothing online seems to help my specific situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
