Hello everyone.
I’m trying to run Android 11 on one of my Rock 4C+ 4GB boards, and I’m noticing that I’m having issues that I can’t really see that any one else runs into. I’m able to set up Android 11 pretty painlessly with HDMI connection to my LG TV, and it works pretty smooth. But for some reason the device is stuck in headphone mode, meaning that I can see a headphone icon at the top right. When playing audio, for example youtube video, I hear no sound at all from my TV. But when I plug in wired headphones or speakers into the 3.5mm audio port, I do get sound from the connected headphone/speaker.
I have 5x identical Rock 4C+ boards available. I found another forum post of a user sharing their boards, I’ve included one of my boards in the comments on that same forum post.
I’ve tried using different MicroSD-cards, using my other 4C+ boards, and running different versions of the Android 11 image that I’ve been able to find. None of this resolves my issue, I have the same issue with all of my boards (all five are identical boards), changing MicroSD-card or re-flashing the image hasn’t given me any progress at all.
Was wondering if anyone have any ideas on how I can resolve this? One idea I had is to see if disabling the 3.5mm audio jack entirely somehow in the Android 11 firmware could resolve this issue, but I’m not good enough at coding to find out how to do this.
NOTE: I’ve also noticed that WiFi/BT doesn’t work for me as well, but this is not too big of a deal for me as I’m using Ethernet connection, though the BT would be nice to have eventually.
Kind regards,
DC
