Rock 3C does not detect wifi

Hello how are you?

I’m using ubuntu server for some projects, but I can’t logon to use the wifi module as a client in the rock 3c. I can create access points, with the “create_ap” program, but I can’t connect to any nearby wifi networks or create an AP with nmcli.
If I use Debian desktop if the wifi network card works well and I can connect to a network, but in ubuntu I have not been able to. I always get an error like:

root@rock-3c:~# nmcli d wifi hotspot ifname wlan0 ssid OGEMSTesting password engenius2022
Error: Failed to setup a Wi-Fi hotspot: Connection ‘Hotspot’ is not available on device wlan0 because device is not available

Does anyone know how I can use the wifi network card with network manager?

I too had problems today and was told that ubuntu is not officially supported and I should use the debian image. See https://github.com/radxa-build/rock-3c/issues/4.

Yuntian is apparently going to look into the issue but I would suggest it might be best to stick to the officially support os for the time being or be ready to debug the issue yourself. If you have the AW-CM2568M chip then it looks like things are going to be a slog and I see issues go back some time with apparently little to no fix.
