Rock 3 Uboot & Linux Kernel Support

Hello Everyone,

Is anyone working on a rock3 dts for uboot and mainline kernel ?

We are sponsoring this work to Radxa corporation (please include that note in case you have plan to include it to Manjaro).

https://forum.armbian.com/clients/donations/ Support us se we can sponsor your HW vendor

Not sure what you mean by this.

UPDATE: Ah ok are you saying that we should ask for sponsorship if we plan to upstream the code? No we do not plan to do that instead we will focus on OS side

I understand this as we’re on the same page. I do it during my free time without any money, but I understand your situation, time and effort.

We are far away from running on a free time. Our project has serious expenses which we have to cover. Check FAQ.

Its FYI. That we paid for this work for Radxa and community benefits while they should be the one supporting that work. I don’t expect anything from Manjaro - ofc you will not waste time on that. For us is also very bad - we should be focusing to the OS side.

As said I understand all this and we also have full time developers but I am not one of them.

[/quote]Now I understand, It is true Radxa should sponsor it but it is good to know armbian is working on it.

Not really, I am looking into the difference between quartz64 and rock3 as rock3 is using rk809-5 pmic and it is bit different. Peter Geis will be working on this once he finishes vop for rk3566, he and an employee from collabora have been working on rk3566 support.

If you need me to test your work then feel free to contact me. Can help with testing.

These are the ROCK 3 u-boot and kernel source code.

u-boot: https://github.com/radxa/u-boot/tree/stable-4.19-rock3
kernel: https://github.com/radxa/kernel/tree/stable-4.19-rock3

Mainline, not this.
