Raid1 MDADM faulty, short workaround with reboot

Hi there,

I set up the rockpi 4 with the sata hat and case to use it as Nextcloud server with a raid 1 ( 2 hdds).
For about some time I am struggeling to get access to my working directory of Nextcloud. A reboot was a workaround for like 1 day. After that I needed to reboot more often in order to work with nextcloud. Finally I had no access at all.
It turned out that mdadm set the raid as degraded. I managed to synch the harddisks and set the raid drive to read/write mode again.
After that everything seemed just fine.
When I start up the system I have access to the raid for about 10 minutes. After that sda1 is removed.

Rebooting will again hook up both drives until sda1 gets kicked out

  • Is sda1 really faulty and should it be replaced?
  • How do I know that MDADM is not messed up (and not the harddisk)?
