Radxa Zero first run with memory eMMC issue

Hi everyone, I just bought a Radxa Zero 2GB RAM 8GB eMMC and I installed the official versions of Debian and Ubuntu on the eMMC as stated in the Wiki, and it doesn’t work. I get what I see in the attached image. What does that mean? With a micro SD card it seems to work.

Try https://www.armbian.com/radxa-zero/ Maybe it will work better as its different firmware.

@jhon Which version of the system image are you using, some older versions are not very compatible with emmc

I will try it this weekend, thank you.

I used both versions of Debian b23 (cli and kde) and also Ubuntu b23 (cli).

Hi @jhon ,
Please try this https://github.com/radxa-build/radxa-zero/releases/tag/t5

OK, I will try it this weekend, thanks.

Hi, I get the image on startup after installing “Armbian_24.8.1_Radxa-zero_bookworm_current_6.6.47_minimal.img”. I installed it through Balena Etcher from Windows as it says in Radxa’s tutorial, it is correct or I have to use linux?

Hi, I have tried the t5 and t4 images. When flashing the image with balena etcher I get an error at the end in both. I have tried with another version of balena etcher just in case and it still doesn’t work. I think the eMMc memory is defective, I think I will return the Radxa Zero.

What is the error reported please? If it’s a windows file system format error and asking you to format it, ignore it!
