Radxa Zero 3W not booting and board overheating

I am using a Radxa Zero 3W, and it is not booting. When I connect the power to the board, the LED lights up steadily, but there is no output on HDMI or connection through ssh. The board itself becomes extremely hot. I’ve also attempted to boot in maskroom mode, but that was unsuccessful as well.

Questions:

  • Is there any way to get the board to boot?
  • Could the overheating be a sign of a hardware defect?

Can you connect to the serial console? Do you have an USB to serial (FTDI) board? Something like…

Would let your see where the issue is, say boot loader or later.

which os do you use and how do you flash the image,Can you record a video about the boot-up process?

I am trying to set up the system on my Radxa Zero 3W following the instructions provided here. However, I am unable to activate MASKROM mode on this board. I have followed the same steps on another Radxa Zero 3W, and it works perfectly fine with activation MASKROM Mode.
