I read that the Raspberry Pi 5 Official 27W PSU is satisfactory enough to power the Radxa X4, i ask is this correct information, will the PI5 PSU suffice?
Thanks

No it’s not
Somewhat but not fully
Thanks, you say "somewhat but not fully’ by that do you mean it can power the X4, but not to its full potential?
I hear that the N100 chip can take quite an bit of power when utilised in other devices and some state the X4 could perform far better with more power, however high performance is not the intended use I have for the X4 device.
I simply need an safe and reliable power supply, I have no need to overclock or even to max-out the N100 chip to its full potential.
Are commentors mistaken when recommending the official raspberry PI5 power.supply, or are they simply making do with an convienant if not, then as perhaps as some may see it, an 'somewhat" underpowered power supply?
Underpowered with the PI5 power supply would that be the contentious issue?.
Your input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Yes friend.
According to our verification, the maximum power consumption of X4 when it is turned on is 25W, and this is when it is not fully connected to peripherals (USB etc.). If all peripherals are connected, it is likely to exceed 27W. Therefore, we do not recommend using a power supply lower than 30W.
Because everyone’s use case is different, we can’t say that the PI5 power supply must not be used normally, But there are risks
Thanks, i appreciate what you say and to carefully follow your good advice, i understand Radxa offer for sale an 30w PD PSU that’s available from various listed outlets and that this is suited to the X4.
I believe the recommended Radxa PD 30W may be the best option for myself.
Thanks again for your kind support and help.
