Radxa X4 - Best options!

Radxa x4 - Intel N100 CPU (4 cores, 3.4GHz) with UHD Graphics

So I’m gonna try to make a proper easy tidy forum post about my experience on this board with off course as usual cloud gaming in mind ChromeOS Flex and who knows… maybe SteamOS with Bazzite for it despite its limitations for what it can be possible.

ChromiumOS - For Cloud Gaming Geforce Now and Boosteroid is a must!

ChromeOS Flex always updated but has NO Play Store / or / FydeOS with Play Store

Google never gives us the full cake of ChromeOS unless we brunch it otherwise FydeOS grants you that full cake under its terms.

Bazzite - Gnome/KDE - Its Fedora (SteamOS uses kde-plasma arch linux).

Bazzite is interesting because its the closest to what valve is providing on SteamOS so you can pretty much install anything that you can on steam deck into your linux using bazzite it is optimised and mantained by the community that follows valve so its redirected for gaming.

Making the Radxa X4 Even Cooler - 40C Average

I’m gonna try this copper for it (Might be too large, any suggestions?)

This fan for the x4 can be an alternative solution for the x4 official heatsink.

Bios - Drivers - Docs - Board Review

I wanted to ask what other bios settings can we change for its best performance?

What other cool x86 systems are there to try? Nobara? ChimeraOS?

Suggestions?

Radxa was looking for suggestions to improve their X4 cooler. Not sure if there is any progress.

Ive ordered an metal heatsink but untill it arrives so far placing the pads properly made an huge difference!
Thank you very much @nyanmisaka !

radxa is sleeping for long time… even the x2l cooler must bee better than the cooler from x4… use a Radxa 8418B heatsink with big base… There is nothing to inovate… just use a laptop heatsink…

Not needed. And even if I did… it wouldnt solve the fact I need a shell protecting its components. But its indeed a good suggestion for a proper heatsink fan.

Sorry for the late reply due to the Chinese Spring festival holiday.
We will use embedded copper sheets to replace thermal conductive silicone to improve heat dissipation. The next batch of heatsink will be imported, and we will update the instructions at the same time.
FYI: Here is sample pic and comparison results
