Looks awesome,
Is nvme (with thermal pad?) inside supported? Any cutout for gpio planned?

Looks awesome but! I would also consider making a fan heatsink for the cubie board as an alternative to this case

Nice design. Any plans for availability for this case?

@hipboi - in the other thread I asked about PoE output, got no reply yet.

Now you say , in this metal case “The PoE module can be installed inside.”

Is there any PoE module available for this board?

Can you explain existing PoE pinouts so we can adjust some existing PoE modules to be fit it the case.

Similar size cases are available for 3D print.

Ive found this one on a link someone shared on telegram:

My only take.. is.. it lacks a fan.. but still.. for the sleak design it looks perfect.

When and where can we purchase this? Casing is always important. It’s wise to have this available for this particular model, and consider that for your various SBC devices as well. Thanks in advance.

Where can we buy it? I was planning on buying a Cubie A5e, but I wanted a case to store it in.

I bought the official Radxa case along with the PoE module. Sadly, the screws on the standoffs were manufactured badly, with flattened threads (all 8 standoffs), and therefore the case cannot be assembled with the PoE module. I have contacted Radxa to see if they will replace them…

Just an update - this case cannot be used currently with the PoE module. I’d love to hear from Radxa if they are going to fix it.

yes, the standoffs are a bit wonky. no, that does not mean you cannot use it with the PoE board. I have two A5E with the PoE board in the case and both work just fine. To fix the standoff issue, you could for example put a drop of glue in and et voila, they hold just fine.

You make it sound worse than it really is (;

Well, I would say that standoffs that will not thread are more than just “wonky”, they’re unusable and the issue should be addressed. DIY’ing with glue is not a suitable solution, IMHO.

Mine ‘kind off’ thread, they are just a bit wobbly afterwards. So not a big issue for me. Your mileage might vary. If its really that bad for you, maybe put some pictures into the thread, that usually raises attention.
