Question about Radxa 5C Metal case and HATs support

Hi everyone.

I’m looking forward to the Radxa 5C “Lite” as a replacement for my Rasberry Pi 4b (4gb) and I have a couple of doubts regarding the official case and HATs support.

Will the case fit the official heatsink + a HAT that supports 2280 NVMEs ? if so, which one would you reccommend to buy ? i’m planning to install a spare Samsung 980 NVME and i’d like to get the most out of that NVME

Thanks in advance!

Definitely won’t fit a HAT for 2280, might work with some of those for 2242, but that’s a stretch still.

If you really need one for a 2280 HAT, here’s a case that fits (the picture is of my own 5C, with 2280 nvme fitted with a reasonably large heatsink):

Thanks for responding, mind if I ask which HAT you’re currently using ? ever had any issues with thermal throttling ?

I’m using this one. Thermals are looking good (again, do note that my nvme heatsink is somewhat large).
