Post output of lsusb command, is HAT found in system?
which product ?
i dont use any command i use open média vault interface
You can turn on ssh access and perform needed checkup,
dmesg will show You errors, lsusb (You need usb-utils package) will show You usb devices,
omv has diagnostic tab, but usb information are not included there,
raspberrypi@raspberrypi:~ $ lsusb -t
/: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/4p, 5000M
/: Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/1p, 480M
|__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/4p, 480M
there is no SSD wish size is 240GB
why the wiki: https://wiki.radxa.com/Dual_Quad_SATA_HAT
dosntt exist ?
i think i need to install a package who turn on the sata connectors on the QUAD SATA bard, but i cant find any link
i come to try to install the .deb so i use this command:
wget https://github.com/radxa/rockpi-quad/releases/download/0.3.0/rockpi-quad.deb
then
sudo dpkg -i rockpi-quad.deb
and here i get problems :( i think because depenceses, what should i do ?
this link have all the package but i dont know how to install it:
https://github.com/NGS99/rockpi-sata/tree/master
Aa far as I remember You don’t need any special driver, it’s usb mass storage, present on almost everything.
The megabytes are not about any size, but speed, for now we are checking if USB device is found, recognized and working, this is preliminary step.
The output should look like this:
dominik@pi:~ $ lsusb -t
/: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/4p, 5000M
|__ Port 1: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Mass Storage, Driver=uas, 5000M
|__ Port 2: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Mass Storage, Driver=uas, 5000M
/: Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/1p, 480M
|__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/4p, 480M
You should see two usb devices,
with -v option You should get information about JMicron (JMS 551 maybe, which is not exactly the one used here, but it doesnt matter for now)
Please post dmesg message - are there anything about usb initializing? any errors?
triple check USB bridge, is it all way inserted? Try same lsusb command without sata drive connected, You don’t need it yet to check usb connectivity.
raspberrypi@raspberrypi:~ $ dmesg

raspberrypi@raspberrypi:~ $
my drive is formated with EXT4 AOMEI software and i changed my drive in all SATA slot its the same thing, ill take pictures for raspberrypi 4 maybe i miss something
Your problem is somehow related to usb connection,
maybe this whit usb bridge is damaged, maybe some of ports?
For now You can remove Your sata drive, it’s not needed until You get usb connection, unconnect this white bridge and connect one of usb ports of pi to one of hat ports - it should register new device with ID:
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 152d:0561 JMicron Technology Corp. / JMicron USA Technology Corp. JMS551 - Sharkoon SATA QuickPort Duo
You can also try to connect it via cable to pc to see i fit come up and its recognized. It need to work as usb device before You can try to find drives connected to it.
something wrong with my raspberry OS.
i come to buy this modul to test my drive on raspberry without using QUAD SATA
i get this information using lsusb -t
there is no 240go of my SSD
and there is no 4Go of my USB Flash
It is ok, you got two mass storage devices and You should be able to see them via lsblk and blkid commands (or in omv interface)
You can verify if there are those usb devices just by disconnecting them, they should disappear from this list
For quad sata hat You should see same thing - new entries on connect, also new entry in dmesg
