Quad core pi zero mpeg2 encoding?

this pi zero has quad core what I need to know is could it be used in this interface manufactured by byte delight for the zx spectrum

https://www.bytedelight.com/?product=zx-hd-hdmi-interface-rasperry-pi-zero-complete-set

it uses a raspberry pi to convert the video output of the zx spectrum computer to HDMI adding ula+ features but not spectra support

I’m also interested in capturing the tv output - would the quad core pi be able to encode the output to an mpeg2 avi video file? does the quad core pi come with an mpeg2 video encoder? how much processor power is used when encoding video output to mpeg2 please?

Hello. This is its coding capability.

  • Video/Picture Encoding
    • Independent JPEG and H.265/H.264 encoder with configurable performance/bit-rate
    • JPEG image encoding
    • H.265/H.264 video encoding up to 1080P@60fps with low latency

please one more question while it’s doing the encoding how much processing power is it using?

I’m sorry I don’t have those figures. If you know how to test it, I can test it for you.

No. That’s the HW capabilities, and you only have them on Android. Mainline linux? I dont believe that there is a decent driver as today.

this machine also uses a pi zero for acceleration please could the quad core pi be used instead and would it be able to encode the video output of the zx spectrum next to mpeg2 avi video simultaneously please?
