Purchasing an RTC battery for Rock 5B?

Hi all,

I’m looking to buy an RTC battery for my Rock 5B, but I’m having trouble finding one that I can be certain has the right connector. (I’m also on the road full-time, so purchasing from a “ships from Amazon” vendor in the USA to an Amazon locker would work best.)

The Rock 5B RTC specs specify a XH1.25mm connector, with a (rechargable) 3.0V CR2032 battery.

I can’t find an RTC battery listing that specifies that connector.

The closest I’ve found:

  1. The Allnet China listing for the Rock Pi 4 RTC battery since the Rock Pi 4 RTC battery has the same specs.
  2. I also found a battery on Amazon, a Rome Tech CMOS-05, where a reviewer says it worked on a Rock Pi 4.

The Battery RTC specs are same with Rock PI 4, you can buy it if it can work on rock pi 4.

These batteries are also the same as those used in Thinkpad laptops (I ended up harvesting one from an old T60 :slight_smile: ).
