Protection circuit for the uart in Rock PI S

Hi Tom,
As discussed over the mail chain, please let us know the protection circuit for UART in Rock PI S.

Issue: We have connected the Rock PI S device in the panel and receiving the data from meter over UART. After some days (3 to 4 months) Rock PI S device stopped publishing data. We have diagnosed and found UART pins shorted in Rock PI S
