Power ROCK Pi S with battery without USB C

Hello,

Would it be possible to power the rock pi S through the GPIO headers ? I am referring to Pin 1, 2 and 4
or these are only to supply power ?

You can connect an external 3V/5V power supply to the 3V/5V of the 40 pin and it is also bootable!
