PoE limit for the rock 5 series

Hi there,

I want to draw around 70w over the RJ45 connector with PoE++ type 4.
What is the power limit for the rock 5 series boards ?
Can you specify the RJ45 connector which is used ?

thanks
Matt

Look into schematics eventually. First tell us what peripherals you have or want to connect including their power consumption characteristics.
You can start here https://docs.radxa.com/en/rock5/rock5b/getting-started/power-supply

I’m confused …

What I want to know is whether the board + rj45 connector can support PoE++ type 4, which is around 1.5 to 2A of current draw over the RJ45 connector and through the 4 PoE pins on the PCB.

What do you mean with ‘the board + rj45 connector’?

It can be ROCK5B for example, or a PoE HAT. Both have detailed specs available in the Documentation section, so maybe look there yourself.
