NVME boot problem with recent debian or ubuntu images

Hi

I use GTP u-boot image (https://wiki.radxa.com/mw/images/1/1b/Spi_image_20220210.zip) on SPI NOR flash to boot on nvme SSD on Rock3A.
It worked well for months with older ubuntu / debian images released in that repo (https://github.com/radxa-build/rock-3a/releases) but not with very last ones.

tested working image :

  • rock-3a-ubuntu-focal-server-arm64-20220701-0200-gpt.img
  • and older ones

tested not working images :

  • rock-3a-debian-bullseye-xfce4-arm64-20220909-0856-gpt.img
  • rock-3a-ubuntu-focal-server-arm64-20220909-0839-gpt.img
  • rock-3a-ubuntu-focal-server-arm64-20220901-0144-gpt.img

With these new images, boot stops on busybox shell on initramfs saying that root parameter is not set.

Is somebody experience the same issue ?
Is it a problem on u-boot image on the SPI flash or on the debian / ubuntu images ?
