No boot - Blue LED double blinking

Hi there,

I’m using SBCs since the RPi 2b. So I got me a Rock 5C. To protect it from the environment, I 3D-printed a nice simple case, put it in, cabled it up and connected it to power.

Blue and Green LED will come on
Blue and Green LED will go off
Fan starts to run
Blue LED double blinks

No boot.
Removed the eMMC, repeat, - no boot.
Reseat the eMMC, repeat, - no boot.

No signal on the HDMI and no activity on the network.

Unfortunately, I can’t find any documentation to perform troubleshooting - not even a description of the blink codes for the LED.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, I’ve got it booting - sort of.
I now have console access via SSH, but still I can’t convince the HDMI to activate.

Which operating system image are you using?

Standard Radxa OS Debian 12 KDE

Why not try something different and see if it works?

Tried that. Downloaded Android. Fresh SD. Now the blue LED is flashing quicker, still no HDMI output…

You can try another monitor… If this fails then I’m afraid it might be defective hardware. Or you can try troubleshooting via ssh, dmesg and journalctl

Another monitor and a different HDMI cable did the trick. Strange. nUsually, my monitor complains about wrong input signals, but this time, it just plainly stated “No Input”.
But now it’s working again.
Thanks a million! (Although that was my own stupidity. Could have saved you the time if I would not had blindly believed my monitor…)
